Big Data Analytics is a field concerned with the analysis, processing, and storage of large amounts of data, often originating from heterogeneous sources. However, sheer volume is neither a necessary nor a sufficient condition: datasets may be relatively small yet still qualify as Big Data when they are highly unstructured or come from multiple heterogeneous sources.
